Our Beginnings
Under the spiritual leaership of pastor Howard Halter the congregation began to outgrow its home. Plans soon began to form to build a new church building
In December of 1936 land was purchased and ground was broken in June of 1939. That site was the location of today's present day church location.
Pastor Halter dedicated the building to the Glory of God on January 14th 1940.
We Begin To Grow!
In 1941 the Reverend August F. Bobzin became our Pastor. Pastor Bobzin would stay with Resurrection Lutheran for twenty-one years! During his years of guidance we grew in leaps and bounds! We:

- Built the parsonage
- Burned our mortgage
- Added the narthex
- Built the choir loft built
- and built our beautiful education building.
