Pastor James

Rev. James T. Gajadhar was born and raised in New Amsterdam, Guyana, South America. In 1985 after successfully completing the requirements of the Lutheran Church in Guyana, he was ordained into the Holy Ministry. Pastor Gajadhar received his early education at the prestigious Berbice High School, in his home town. He pursued his tertiary and theological education at the University of the West Indies and the United Theological College of the West Indies respectively, both of Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. He also successfully completed a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa.

Rev. Gajadhar served as a pastor of the Lutheran Church in Guyana from 1985 through 1996. During this time he was privileged to be elected and served as the President (head), of that church body. He came to the United States in 1996 and was subsequently admitted to the Clergy Roaster of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod by colloquy. Pastor Gajadhar served Grace Lutheran Church and School in the Bronx from 1996 through 2007. In 2007, he was called to serve as the Pastoral Care Minister of the Queens Tri-Parish which consists of Resurrection, Flushing; St. John, Flushing; and Ascension, Jamaica.
